I like to think of this series an album of odd characters on curious journeys. I have always been fascinated by a kind of subtle, storybook surrealism, and hope that these illustrations encourage viewers to come up with their own fascinating stories to explain the scenes at hand. Many of these paintings have been inspired by songs and songwriters including Tom Waits, Damien Rice, and Bjork.
